How do I access the vCard configuration settings?
Go to the Features page, the vCard section and click on the Settings button.
From the Features page, open the vCard feature settings. In the Contact Information tab, you can choose the fields and attributes displayed in your employees' vCards.
How do I show or hide a vCard field?
In the vCard Fields column, simply enable or disable the fields you want to display in contact records and vCards.
How do I associate an attribute with a vCard field?
In the Attributes column, select the attribute you want to associate with each vCard field from the drop-down menu. All attributes available on your platform can be associated.
Please note: an attribute can only be used for a single vCard field. If it is already in use, it will appear grayed out.
How to manage address fields?
Two configurations are possible depending on your use case:
1. Address as a single attribute
The complete address is stored in a single attribute: for example
Adresse 1 50 Rue Breteuil 13006 Marseille France
In this case, simply select the corresponding single attribute
2. Address in multiple attributes
The address is divided into several attributes: for example:
street adresse : 50 Rue Breteuil + Zip code: 13006 + city: Marseille+ Country: France.
In this case, associate each subfield with the correct attribute.
What happens if a field is enabled but no attribute is entered for a user?
The field will not be displayed in that user's vCard.
Can the label for the “Address” field be customized?
Yes. You can rename the address field label according to your needs. By default, the label “office” is applied.
Why do some fields appear differently depending on the environment?
This depends on the specific constraints of operating systems and phone models:
iOS
The Region field is not displayed.
A map thumbnail appears automatically when an address is displayed.
