What is the Salesforce connector used for?

The Letsignit Salesforce connector automatically adds the Letsignit email signature to emails sent from Salesforce.

It ensures:

  • a consistent, compliant, and up-to-date signature

  • no manual action required from users

  • centralized management from Letsignit

Any change made in Letsignit (signature or campaign) is automatically applied in Salesforce once the connector is activated.

How to activate the connector?

1. Steps in Letsignit (Global Administrator)

  1. Go to Settings (accessible from your profile picture in the top-right corner), then open Office 365 / G Suite Integration.

  2. Click on the Signature deployment tab and open the CRM section.

  3. Click Connect in the Salesforce section.

  4. A login page opens: enter your Salesforce username and password.

  5. An authentication step is required (mobile approval).

  6. Once completed, a Connected badge is displayed.

2. Steps in Salesforce (Salesforce Administrator)

  1. Create or edit a Permission Set.

  2. Go to Setup → Permission Sets.

  3. Click New or select an existing Permission Set.

  4. Name it (e.g. “Letsignit Integration Access”).

  5. Enable permission for Disconnected Applications.

  6. In the Permission Set, open System Permissions.

  7. Click Edit.

  8. Enable Approve Disconnected Connected Apps.

This permission also applies to other connected apps, not only Letsignit.

  9. Save your changes.

  10. Assign the Permission Set to users:

    • Click Manage Assignments

    • Click Add Assignments

    • Select the users who need access to the Letsignit–Salesforce integration

    • Click Assign

How to find your Letsignit signature when sending an email from Salesforce?

  1. Open a Salesforce record of type Contact, Lead, Opportunity, or Account.

  2. Click the Email action: the email composer opens with the tag

    {{{Sender.letsignit_signature__c}}}

at the bottom of the email.

  3. This tag allows the signature to be applied at send time.

  4. You can also preview the email to see the signature displayed at the bottom.

When the email is sent, Letsignit automatically injects the signature associated with the user and places it at the end of the message.

In which cases are Letsignit signatures automatically applied to Salesforce emails?

Supported Salesforce record types

  • Contact

  • Lead

  • Account

  • Opportunity

  • Case

  • New email from an activity timeline

Other supported use cases

  • Replying (single or multiple) to an email from Salesforce

  • Forwarding an email from Salesforce

  • Sending an email with a Quick Text inserted

  • Sending an email with attachments

  • Sending bulk emails from a multiple selection of leads or contacts

Supported Salesforce versions and Clouds

  • Salesforce Lightning only (Salesforce Classic is not supported)

  • Sales Cloud

  • Marketing Cloud

  • Service Cloud

Special cases and limitations

  • The user’s email address must be identical in Letsignit and Salesforce.

  • Salesforce email templates are not compatible (they overwrite the Letsignit signature).

  • If a user has no Letsignit signature:

    • the email is sent normally

    • no signature is added

  • Random Letsignit campaigns do not apply in Salesforce
→ the same campaign is displayed for a given user

  • When a new user is created in both Letsignit and Salesforce, their signature is automatically available in Salesforce
