Automatically display a specific signature or campaign when your employees write to recipients within your organization.

💡 Letsignit also allows you to target all recipients, external recipients, or specific domains. To learn more about the targeting options available, see How to target a signature or campaign based on its recipients.

Prerequisites

This feature is only compatible with the Letsignit Add-in.

For more information about the prerequisites, see How to target a signature or campaign based on its recipients.

How to define a signature or campaign specifically for internal recipients

From the signature or campaign Designer:

  1. Click the Audience tab.

  2. Select Internal recipients only.

  3. Save your signature or campaign.

The signature or campaign can then be displayed only when the email recipients belong to your organization’s internal audience.

What is an internal audience?

To determine whether a recipient is internal, Letsignit checks the domain of their email address.

An internal domain is a domain considered to belong to your organization.

For example, if company.com is an internal domain, paul@company.com is considered an internal recipient.

Your organization’s internal domains are defined in Mail Signatures > Audiences.

Letsignit automatically detects your organization’s domains from your employee synchronization sources, such as Microsoft 365, SCIM, CSV, and others.

By default, all detected domains are considered internal.

This configuration is defined at the global level and applies to your entire organization. You can view these domains in Mail Signatures > Audiences.

How to manage my internal audience

From Mail Signatures > Audiences, you can select which synchronized domains should be considered internal by checking or unchecking the domain names.

  • Checked domain: recipients using this domain are considered internal.

  • Unchecked domain: recipients using this domain are considered external.

Once you have made your changes, click Save.

💡 A deactivated domain remains visible as long as it is still provided by a synchronization source.

Who can manage my internal audience?

Only global administrators can enable or disable internal domains by checking or unchecking them.

Entity, functional, Signature, and Campaign administrators can view the internal domains from the Audiences section, but they cannot modify them.

Audience management by entity

  • Internal domain names, and therefore the internal audience, are defined for each tenant.

  • Global administrators can edit the audience only at the global level, not within a subsidiary.

  • Delegated tenant administrators can edit the audience only within their own tenant.

  • Entities inherit the domain names configured as internal at the global level.

  • Entity administrators have read-only access to the Internal audience tab and cannot modify it.

The list of domains appears greyed out. When hovering over it, a message informs the entity administrator that they cannot modify the list.

How does Letsignit determine which content to display?

Letsignit automatically analyses the email recipients to determine which signature or campaign should be displayed.

When there are multiple recipients, or when several pieces of content could apply, display and priority rules determine which content is used.

💡 To understand how this works and which rules apply, see How to target a signature or campaign based on its recipients.
