Create a Presentation with Letsignit Slides

Written by Caroline C.

Create professional, on-brand presentations in just a few clicks.

Browse the Letsignit Slides pane to access ready-to-use slides, brand assets, and approved content—all up to date and aligned with your company's visual identity—to build and enrich your presentations.

Depending on how your organization has configured Letsignit Slides, a default presentation may even open automatically, ready for you to personalize.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • An internet connection

  • Access to Letsignit Slides (granted by your organization)

Create a New Presentation

To create a new presentation, open PowerPoint (desktop or online) and click New Presentation.

The Letsignit Slides pane opens automatically, and one or more default slides—selected by your organization specifically for you—may already be inserted into the presentation.

This gives you a ready-to-use starting point that you can simply customize and complete.

Insert Slides

There are two ways to insert slides, depending on whether you want to start from a layout or use pre-built content.

Option 1: Use the "New Slide" Button

  • Locate the New Slide button in the PowerPoint ribbon.

  • Clicking it displays all layouts available from your company's themes and templates: title slides, section dividers, content layouts, and more.

  • Browse the available layouts and select the one you need. The slide is immediately added to your presentation and is ready to be customized.

  • This is the fastest way to create a new slide without starting from a blank page while staying aligned with your company's brand guidelines.

Option 2: Use the Letsignit Slides Pane

You can also browse the presentations available in your Letsignit Slides library.

Open the Letsignit Slides pane (the Presentation icon at the top of the pane).

Browse the presentations and folders available to you. Open a presentation to view its slides. When you hover over or select a slide, you can:

  • Insert it after the currently selected slide

  • Replace the current slide with it (this will overwrite the existing content on that slide)

Confirm your selection, and the slides are added to your presentation.

Insert a Logo or Brand Asset

Open the Brand Assets tab in the Letsignit Slides pane (the palette icon).

Select the logo or brand asset you want to use and click Insert to add it to your slide.

Insert an Image or Icon

To insert approved images or icons from your company's brand library, open the Images tab in the Letsignit Slides pane.

Search by keyword or browse folders, then click Insert to add the image or icon to your slide.

Edit Slides

Once slides have been inserted from the Letsignit Slides pane, you can customize them just like any other PowerPoint slide.

In most cases, text and visual elements can be edited to suit your audience, customer, or message.

What can be modified depends on the slide and how it was designed by your organization. Some slides are fully editable, while others contain locked elements.

Two simple ways to identify editable content:

  • Clickable elements – If an element can be selected and clicked, you can usually edit it. If not, it has been locked.

  • Placeholders – Areas outlined with dotted borders (PowerPoint placeholders), often containing instructions such as "Click to add title" or "Add text here". Click inside them to add your content.

Customize and build your presentations using the brand-approved assets made available by your organization.

Good to know: Any changes you make only affect your own presentation. They do not modify the shared library or impact other users. Only a Slides Administrator can update the templates and content available in Letsignit Slides.

Add Your Own Content

You can freely add your own content—text, images, shapes, charts, and more—just as you would in any PowerPoint presentation.

Letsignit Slides does not restrict PowerPoint's standard editing capabilities.

When working with slides inserted from Letsignit Slides:

Text

Your company's fonts are applied automatically by default.

If they are not, open PowerPoint's font menu. Your approved brand fonts should appear at the top of the list.

Colors

When formatting text or shapes, use the colors displayed in the first row of PowerPoint's color palette. These correspond to your organization's brand colors.

Images

Before importing external images, check the Images tab in the Letsignit Slides pane to see if an approved version is already available.

When working on slides created outside of Letsignit Slides, fonts and colors are not applied automatically and must be selected manually.

Update an Existing Presentation

You can insert new slides from Letsignit Slides into an existing presentation at any time.

However, opening an older presentation does not automatically update it to your company's latest branding.

To refresh an existing presentation, rebuild it slide by slide using content from the Letsignit Slides pane:

  • Replace outdated slides with the latest approved versions

  • Reinsert logos and brand assets from the official library

  • Use images from the shared image library

This ensures your presentation remains aligned with current brand guidelines.

Keep Content Up to Date

The Letsignit Slides pane always provides the latest approved versions of your organization's templates, slides, logos, and visual assets.

There is nothing to download manually—every new insertion automatically uses the most recent version available.

To make sure you're viewing the latest content, you can refresh the pane:

  1. Click the Information (i) icon at the top of the pane.

  2. Click Refresh.

Note: Presentations that have already been saved are not updated automatically. Content remains exactly as it was when it was inserted. To benefit from updated templates, slides, or assets, simply reinsert the relevant content from the Letsignit Slides pane.

Frequently Asked Questions

When I open PowerPoint, is the correct template applied automatically?

Yes. When you create a new presentation, your organization's default template is automatically applied—no action is required on your part.

Instead of starting from a blank slide, you begin with an up-to-date, on-brand presentation.

How do I insert a ready-to-use slide (organizational chart, key figures, company overview, etc.)?

Your organization may provide ready-made content slides, such as organizational charts, key figures, company presentations, and more.

  1. Find the slide in the Letsignit Slides pane using keywords or folders.

  2. Click the slide to insert it.

  3. Customize the content if needed—text and visuals typically remain editable.

This saves you from having to recreate these slides yourself.

Can I insert a slide from another presentation?

Yes, just as you normally would in PowerPoint.

However, if a company theme is applied, the inserted slide may automatically adapt to your organization's fonts, colors, and branding.

Does Letsignit Slides have access to the content of my presentations?

No. Letsignit Slides does not access, read, store, or transmit the presentations or content you create.

The add-in operates entirely client-side and only interacts with the slides, templates, and assets made available through the Letsignit platform, as well as the information required for authentication (name and email address).

Your files and presentation content remain under the exclusive control of Microsoft 365.

Can I edit the content provided by my organization?

In most cases, yes.

Once inserted, text and visual elements can be edited just like any other PowerPoint content, allowing you to adapt them to your audience, customer, or message.

Depending on how the slide was designed, some elements may be locked by your organization.

See Edit Slides above for more information.

If I modify content, does it affect other users?

No. Any changes you make only affect your own presentation. They are not sent back to the shared library and do not impact other users.

Only updates made centrally by your organization are reflected across the company.

What happens when my organization updates a template or brand guidelines?

Presentations that have already been created and saved—whether locally or in a shared drive—keep their existing design and content.

Updates to templates, brand assets, or the slide library only apply to future insertions. Existing presentations are never modified or overwritten automatically.

To use the latest versions, simply reinsert the relevant slides, images, or assets from the Letsignit Slides pane.

Can I change the theme of my presentation?

We strongly recommend keeping the existing theme in place, as it ensures your presentation remains aligned with your organization's brand guidelines.

If you need additional content or layouts, use the resources available in the Letsignit Slides pane rather than applying a different theme from PowerPoint's Design tab.

Are key figures and business metrics updated automatically?

Not at this time. If your organization updates a slide containing revenue figures, employee counts, KPIs, or other business data, you will need to insert the updated version manually.

Simply locate the slide in the Letsignit Slides pane and choose Replace Slide to update your presentation.

Can Letsignit automatically update an old presentation to match the latest brand guidelines?

Not currently. Automatically rebranding an existing presentation is a complex technical challenge that no solution reliably performs today. This is a technical limitation rather than a product choice, and it is part of our roadmap.

In the meantime, we recommend one of the following approaches:

  1. Start from a new presentation, which already includes the latest branding, and reinsert your content.

  2. Replace outdated slides with the latest approved versions from the Letsignit Slides pane.

Who should I contact if I have a problem with Letsignit Slides?

Contact your organization's Letsignit Administrator (typically someone from the Marketing or Communications team).

They can help you directly or escalate the issue to Letsignit Support if needed.

Troubleshooting

The layout of slides from the library looks broken. What should I do?

In most cases, this is caused by a slide size mismatch.

If your presentation uses a different slide format than the one the slide was designed for (for example, 4:3 instead of 16:9), elements may appear misaligned or out of place.

To check or change the slide size:

  1. Open the Design tab in PowerPoint.

  2. Click Slide Size.

  3. Select the appropriate format or click Custom Slide Size to enter specific dimensions.

Other possible causes include:

  • A brand font is not installed on your device, causing PowerPoint to substitute it with another font (see "My company's font isn't displaying correctly" below).

  • Elements were moved after changing layouts or themes. In this case, reinsert the slide from the Letsignit Slides pane to start from a clean version.

My company's font isn't displaying correctly. What should I do?

A font can only be displayed correctly if it is installed on your device. Otherwise, PowerPoint automatically replaces it with a substitute font.

You have two options:

  1. Ask your IT team to install the font on your device.

  2. If permitted, install it yourself using the font file provided by your organization (.ttf or .otf).

In either case, close and reopen PowerPoint after installation for the font to become available.

Note: This is a PowerPoint limitation, not a Letsignit Slides limitation.

I can't find a piece of content, or the Letsignit Slides pane is empty. What should I do?

  1. Browse the folders and presentations available in the Letsignit Slides pane.

  2. If a specific item is missing, it may not have been assigned to your team yet.

  3. If the pane is empty, click the Information icon in the top-right corner and select Refresh.

  4. If the issue persists, contact your organization's Letsignit Administrator (typically someone from the Marketing or Communications team). They can verify your access permissions and grant access to the required content if needed.
