Would you like to exclude certain employees from a signature or campaign without modifying your groups?
You can choose exactly which employees receive your content, even when the content is assigned to a group. Simply uncheck the employees concerned, without changing their group or any of their other assignments.
1. How do you exclude an employee?
Go to Signatures, Campaigns, or Slides, select the relevant content, and open its Assignment.
In the Groups tab, select the group to which you want to assign your content.
To exclude specific employees, go to the Users tab. Find the employee using the search bar, then untick the box next to their name.
An “Excluded” badge will appear in the Status column, and the assigned and excluded user counters will be updated automatically.
Save your changes to confirm the exclusion.
The employee will no longer receive the selected content, but will remain a member of their original group.
2. How do you find and reinstate an excluded employee?
Would you like to check who is excluded from an assignment or reinstate an employee?
From the Users tab, use the Status → Excluded filter to display only excluded employees.
Find the relevant employees using the “Excluded” badge in the Status column. The counters also allow you to monitor the number of assigned and excluded users.
To reinstate an employee, tick the box next to their name again.
Save your changes.
The employee will receive the selected content again.
Good to know
Excluding someone from an assignment or a group: Excluding an employee from an assignment does not modify their original group or affect their other assignments. To directly modify the members of a group, see our article How to add or exclude one or more users from a group?
Automatic assignment is preserved: New employees added to the group will continue to receive the content assigned to that group.
Exclusions are preserved after synchronization: You do not need to apply them again after each synchronization.
