Simplify management of shared mailboxes with delegation

This feature automatically inserts the mail signature of a delegated mailbox depending on the mailbox from which you are sending an e-mail.

Compatibility

  • This feature is only compatible with the Letsignit Add-in.

⚠️pour users who already have the Letsignit Add-in, an action is required by the M365 administrator to validate the update enabling them to benefit from the https://help.letsignit.com/en/articles/83109-how-to-approve-an-add-in-update-from-the-m365-administration-center

Prerequisites to benefit from the functionality

  • The Add-in must be deployed on the main user account

  • Delegation must be configured on the Microsoft side

  • A delegation must be configured on the Letsignit side for the users or shared boxes concerned

  • The main user and the delegated boxes must have an active signature assigned.

How it works

When writing an email, when the sender of the email ("from" field in the email) corresponds to a mailbox for which the user has a delegation:

  • If a Letsignit signature has been assigned to this delegated mailbox, the signature of this mailbox will be automatically inserted in the mail.

  • If no Letsignit signature has been assigned to this delegated mailbox, no signature will be inserted in the mail.

No signature is inserted (not even an empty signature). In cases where the user has a manual signature in Outlook and no Letsignit signature, the Outlook signature will not be overwritten by the Add-in signature.
