1. How do you appoint an Administrator?
Global Administrators and Entity Administrators have the necessary permissions to appoint administrators.
If your company does not have any entities
From the Team page, open the user’s profile. A user can then be appointed as a Global, Technical, Functional, Signature, or Campaign Administrator.
If your company has entities
Appoint an entity member as an Administrator: Open the relevant entity, go to the Team page, and edit the user’s role to set it as an Entity, Technical, Functional, Signature, or Campaign Administrator.
Appoint an Administrator who is not part of the entity: From the entity creation or editing page, add an Entity, Technical, Functional, Signature, or Campaign Administrator. This person will be able to manage the permissions associated with their role within the entity, even if they are not a member of that entity.
2. How will my colleague be informed about their role?
Your colleague will receive an email inviting them to log in to the administrator platform, along with a clear explanation of their role.
3. Inheritance
In a multi-entity setup, users who have a role in the parent entity automatically retain the same role in child entities. They can also be assigned additional roles specific to those entities.
For example, there is no need to appoint a Functional Administrator at the entity level if the user is already a Functional Administrator at the parent level, as this role already covers all sub-entities.
Some roles are more general and include the features and permissions of more specific roles. For example, the Entity Administrator role includes the permissions of the Signature Administrator, Functional Administrator, Technical Administrator, and Campaign Administrator roles.
