Letsignit offers 2 different methods to insert images in signatures or campaigns.

Each of these methods can be selected for the different image blocks (logo, profile picture, image, social networks and banners)

Image embedded in the email

The image is embedded in each email and referenced directly in the message source. The storage of images is therefore done in the email.

The image will be automatically displayed in the signature when the email is received, the recipient will not have to click on "download the image".

Benefits

Disadvantages

  • images are displayed directly when the recipient opens an email

  • Recipients do not have to click on "download images" in the email client

  • Embedded images are visible even if the email client is in offline mode

  • Availability of images cannot be affected by image server accessibility issues, etc.)

  • Embedded images increase the size of the email (embedded images are converted to strings)

  • When forwarding or replying to the message one or more times, the images may lose quality

This insertion mode is not compatible if your deployment mode is the PUSH API.

Image hosted on the web

The image is not embedded and does not form part of the body of the email. The image is referenced using a web URL and is downloaded directly from the server that hosts it each time the email is opened by the recipient.

The image will not be automatically displayed in the signature when the email is received. In most email clients, the image will not be displayed until the recipient clicks on "download image".

Some settings in email clients may or may not force images to be downloaded.

Benefits

Disadvantages

  • The size of the email is not impacted by the images, as the image is not directly embedded in the body of the email

  • Emails containing hosted images are rarely blocked

  • When forwarding or replying to the message one or more times, the images will never lose their quality as they are hosted on the server for re-display

  • In most email clients, the image will not be displayed until the recipient clicks on "download image".

  • The availability of images in e-mails will be affected if there are problems with the image hosting server

This insertion mode is not compatible if your deployment mode is the Letsignit APP.

How to set up this choice in the designer?

  • From the edit bar by selecting the desired image

  • Either in the editing window by double clicking on the desired image
